It’s simple! If you know what’s important… We start our official Beta release of WMT with a little bit of anatomy. No, not human, but WMT anatomy. Another term we should get used to is architecture. Just like a physical building, this WMT site has an architecture, and the cool thing is that all of the building materials are free. Come to think of it, most of the tools we use to build a site like WMT are free also. So what’s the big cost?

Google Chrome OS For Mobile Cloud Computing
Chrome OS is certainly not the first “thin client” operating system we will see and it for sure won’t be the last. But because it is being built by Google and will be open source (free to install), the economic implications of this particular cloud oriented, thin client (netbooks & MID’s) OS will be huge.
CPU and hardware manufacturers such as Intel and Acer will be looking at what Chrome OS can do for them and customers in the netbook and highly transportable computing markets. Likely is the hope for continually increasing penetration and sheer growth of unit numbers in that particular space. And users such as myself? Well I am hoping for a fast boot up time from cold, warm or sleep. Also for a bullet-proof, fast and secure browsing and application usage environment. It needs to be secure of course, but I would assume that all of the 3rd party players currently in the Win and Mac OS protection space will have products for Chrome as well.

MacBook Air Ways
If the looks alone don’t pull you in, then perhaps an all aluminum unibody chassis, turbo graphics, 128 Gig of solid state (flash) storage, 6 cell/7 hour integrated battery, a dual core cpu, 13″ view, and Mac/OS… in a 3lb – three quarter inch form factor. A quick scan of the Apple MacBook site shows a base price of 15 big ones, and you’ll pay more for the flash storage and the faster cpu versions.
So why is Apple able to get twice as much dinero per unit for comparable Intel powered laptop pc’s, than the hoard of Windows hardware makers have ever been able to get with any version of Windows on their Intel-laptop? A rhetorical question when you consider it can only be 2 things… Mac/OS and Apple user experience.
